C63 MCT not shifting automatically
Hi everyone. I’m new to the site. Just bought a 2013 C63 with about 42k miles on it last week. Everything has been great until this morning when the transmission wouldn’t shift automatically in C or S mode. It would hold the gear until I shifted it myself around 4.5k rpm. It would then not downshift automatically even when I came to a stop. This happened for about 10 minutes of driving, and then seemed to resolve. Temperature outside this morning was in the mid 40’s so I don’t think it has anything to do with that. Has anyone experienced this before or have an idea what could be wrong? Thanks

Man iv been having issues with my transmission since I got the car and ill tell you that the MCT is a really crappy transmission . Iv done the fluid swap at the correct service time also did multiple clutch adaptions resets and nothing was resolved . My car has stock airboxes since I thought that was the issues but nothing has been fixed. Im thinking now that is has to do something with the valve body or conductor plate , but wont know until I can get it to a dealer.
issue with mine is it flares between shifts in C mode and it feels like the start up clutch is grabbing a releasing before settling down to the gear . In M mode it does not do this at all which is a relief telling me it might just be a software and not an actual hardware problem. Your issue with the shifting def sounds like something to do the the conductor plate which has the TCU on it . It would need a fancy scanner to scan that module and see if anything is stored or in the freeze frame .
