You say 2010 but thats definitely a 2012+ you posted

Very easy either way, there is an access port on the back of the headlight in the engine bay. Big port is for low beam, small for high iirc

Thanks, yeah most likely 2012. It is my nephew’s car.
I think i was able to open the low beam port (round plastic cover) and didnt check anything beyond that.

Drop the bumper and remove the headlight.

You will save yourself alot of headache and working in all sorts of unusual positions.

Don’t listen to that ^ please. Drop the bumper to change a bulb that’s only 5min per side just reaching in there. Get the **** out of here with that stupid idea.

Go look on YouTube. It’s literally 1) reach in and remove the rear dust cover, 2) remove bulb, 3) install new bulb, 4) reinstall dust cover, 5) repeat for other side. Yes, the retaining clip for the bulb can be a pain in the azz, but just look up how it works. It’s not hard.

I had to replace the side turing lights (granted, it's not the same as the headlights) but in the end, I had to drop the bumper and the headlight because I could not align the clip properly bent over the fender.

Had I just did all of that to begin with, I would've saved a ton of time.

Removing the front bumper took 12 minutes and re-attaching it was just the same.

Not everyone is a perfect garage whiz like you and some people have chronic pain that cannot work in unusual positions for periods of time. Not being rude, just thought I'd point that out.

You DEFINITELY should NOT remove the front bumper for the headlight bulbs.

Literally one of the MOST BASIC car things you can do is change bulbs. No need to make it complicated. Everything BLKROKT said is exactly what they need to do.

Considering he's asking to change a bulb, removing a whole bumper will probably be hell for him anyways.

DROP THE BUMPER?! Crazy. No lights on the front necessitate a bumper drop. The fog lights on the PFL cars almost make me want to but for those I’d rather take off the undertray.

I struggled for an hour hunched over front and the fender of the car trying to line that stupid clip up. Mind you I have back problems.

I spent extra time rather than suffer for the next few days.

But you are probably right.

I can empathize with that. There are jobs where there is a shortcut that is quicker but one step takes like 30 minutes or something and is frustrating. I would rather make steady progress sometimes and take a little longer rather than getting stuck and frustrated on a step in a shortcut. Would I personally take off the bumper? No, but I know where you are coming from. An example: I’d rather remove the whole intake manifold to swap the PCV Valve rather than try to squeeze my arm behind everything to change it.

Good points. Didn’t mean to offend. I think I just had flashbacks of the last time I removed my front bumper, which is definitely not at all easy anymore.

Naw, I'm made of thicker stuff than that. All good.

Maybe it's the way I'm built, but I cannot for the life of me, get those damn clips aligned properly. I will only pursue something so far until I decide it's time for another course of action...

Maybe *dropping the bumper* is extreme but I needed a solution!!!

I'll leave it up to the OP to decide what to do!. Good luck!

Edit, some helpful links:

And if you have to, REMOVE THE BUMPER!!!!!!

Is this a kinder, gentler BLKROKT? This is no fun.

No problem, I understand your situation, just saying for most people it should not be a problem to do it the normal way. Whatever works for you the best is what you should do.
