No oil temp on display

2011 C63 Estate
No oil temp on display
Hi, I'm the new owner of a 2011 C63 estate. Loving the car so far despite how often I'm at the petrol station and having the rear tyres replaced 
I've noticed on the dash on the AMG menu I have a coolant temperature reading but the oil temp always says --. I imagine its a bad sensor somewhere? Does anyone know what it would be and a part number if its more than a bad contact?
