2013 C63 Engine into a 2009 C63
Has any one done this swap? straight fit, ECU's compatible?
Reason being my 145,000 km's 2009 engine was potentially hydro locked and was subsequently started by a helpful tow truck drive. It now appears that my engine may be severely damaged, without strip down full extent or route cause (headgasket/head bolts) remains to be detailed.
I have the opportunity of a low km's engine from a 2013 C63 performance pack plus. From what i can work out the motor is still a M156 but i cant find details on the ECU.
Incident raised with the roadside repair company, not holding out much hope
Any help much appreciated.

Perhaps reach out to Eurocharged for advice - I'm sure they'd have intimate knowledge of the ECU's and engine mapping for the M156 engine over its history.

So, according to Eurocharged, its a simple ECU flash if i went the engine swap out route, however the engine is actually ok, new head bolts (2 snapped) and head gasket with some serious engine flushing and the engines as good as new. All Hail WorxAuto in Melbourne!
