disappoint on W idle pulley quality
just to share my expereince last week; some strange knocking sound from engine bay and it is not the high pitch sound like steering pump or valve tappet ticking; just squeezing noise without any rythm...i took it for a close inspection and finally find out the reason as show below, very terrible ball bearing failure from idle pulley. and actually i shall say appreciate its "good quality" that it still lasts for about 20km till i drive to the dealer....
the set is purchased in later 2016 and installed 2017 jan timing, i checked weistec warranty policy and it is a 12m limited warranty, but after 16k miles driving in 2 years and this result ? very dissapointing.....
any people has similar experience?

Are you supercharged as well? I’ve only seen that happen on supercharged cars.

What kind of ball bearing is it? Should say on the inner or outer bearing race. If you want a really good quality bearing, then replace it with a SKF bearing. Measure the ID, OD, and bearing width and you'll have all the specs. Get sealed bearings too as with open bearings (exposed ball bearings), the grease can get washed out and you'll loose service life and purchase stainless steel so you don't rust.
