I would go with #1. I have my 3rd black Benz and each time I say, never again! Too hard to keep clean. Plus #3 looks like an 18 year old got ahold of daddy’s car and added a bunch of tacky red aftermarket crap. #2 with 2 accidents will be harder to dump if you ever have to. Also, the white is just sharp looking!

Thanks everyone
SO - this weekend I called up the guy with #1 in white - I just liked the contrast of the black accents like the hood vents on the white background. Have been talking to the owner for 2 weeks. getting bank loan organized as well as shipping (I'm in Atlanta, GA car is in CA)
I called the owner offering a $500 deposit to keep the car and was willing to buy it sight unseen as it was a clean car and technically one owner (father bought it, sold it to son - so 2 titles, but the same family) the white car also had H&R springs, new tires and just had a brake job from MB dealer along with 40K mile service with rear diff fluid change, oil change, etc etc.
He agrees but said someone would be coming down to see it but would still give me first right of refusal
I asked him to please let me send a deposit - he assured me no reason, he would hold it.
well, he didn't
guy came down with a check and drove it away. :-(
so upset - there will be another one soon.
Still looking at the #3 black one as well as some E63 S models from 2014-2016 whole other ball game though. I still love the sound of the M156 the best.
Thank you all again for the guidance

Called up today on the Black on in Sarasota... It is available. He rattled off about where he came from. Comes from NY like me. The salesmen told me the red in painted on and the red interior bits would have to be removed. Recent trade in car. Local from FL 2 owner car. I guess the red is part of the 507 package.

I would go with option 4. By putting that $45k into an index fund and conservatively estimating 7% annual growth in the market you would end up somewhere in the neighborhood of $345k 30 years from now. Instead of purchasing a depreciating asset that is an attempt to display wealth you will have in fact created true wealth for yourself.
