Right valve Co ver needs to be replaced? Over torqued Oil Filler cap

So I put to much pressure when tightening and cracked the plastic top end piece of the oil filler cap. Still amazed why its not 1 solid piece or steal valve cover... anyways I ended up getting the bottom piece that was stuck tight to the valve cover loose with flat head and hammering lighting till loose and replaced with new Mercedes Oil Cap PN 1560180102. Upon tightening I noticed the cap turns a little more then it did before but still snug (hand tightened). Is there any cause for concern? Should I replace the right valve cover? If so, besides gasket do I need new bolts or anything else to avoid leaks? If I over tighten again by accident will the cap become loose and never tighten again?

Go for a drive, if no oil leaks ur good.

If you do get leaks, then yup, you may need a new valve cover

The oil filler cap, is only supposed to be hand tightened not torque on. After 12 years of owning AMG's never had a leaky oil filler cap. Just saying....

Thank you I only used a wrench to tighten it as I had to use one when removing it as it was on tight and couldn't do it with my hand. Upon doing so the top part of the cover cracked and the bottom part of capped stayed on. I'm assuming previous owner over tightened it to begin with as it was hard to remove and on other AMG cars i've always unscrewed with my hand.
