Had the Weistec Catch Kit Installed
I've been reading over the years about blue smoke on warm startups. Being 'old school' (born in 1949; shut up!) I never felt any smoke of any color was good and was telling you something is just not right. It seemed to be getting worse the last 12 months with my coupe (~65,000 miles). So I finally broke down and did what I believe was the right thing to do: Find a good shop and mechanic in Houston. I did at TGA with Matt. Next, buy the Weistec kit. Why? It is made specifically for the W204 V8. Dropped it and the car off. To do it right, I had TGA pull the intake manifold, clean up any oil they find, change the gaskets, drop in a set of plugs, install a new PVC valve while in there and the kit. Then route the tubing so the canister sits up front under the fender bracing. That makes it very easy to spin off/on the catch can canister.
I also had them do a diff fluid change. I still owe them a coolant flush. Total price out the door was $1100 plus the cost of the Weistec kit. Worth it? Cheapest way to add about 50HP....and no smoke.
BTW, I drive a 2018 Carmine Red Porsche Macan Turbo. The C63AMG with AMG Dev Pkg is my wife's car.

New plugs, no excess oil down in the runners and the intake channel area and a bath. Damn guys. Everybody knows a clean car adds 49 HP to the equation.

Good for a laugh, but kidding aside, the piece is beautifully engineered. I bought one for my 2011 and before I could install it, I had some issues which required getting inside. I found out the car had the Renntech stage 1 kit with the 80~82mm throttle body fans. Once it was opened, it was very clean, it might have been cleaned by the previous owner when installing the new TBs. So I didn't see the point in installing the catch can and sold it brand new to a happy buyer. So no 50 HP added.
