Talk about out of my league, this is out of my solar system. It's hard to zoom in on these pics., but are all those throttle butterflys being operated by what looks to be 2 electric actuators, (stepper motors?), on the back of the engine?

Thanks for the picture Skratch77. That machine work is incredible! So that's what they've done. You can see a bore that holds a butterfly shaft that runs all the way through the bank of throttle bodies from the step motor housing. So now, (according to wikipedia), all you need to do is turn your gas pedal into an indexer, (microprocessor), that generates step pulses and direction to send signals to a driver / amplifier to convert the digital pulses into mechanical rotation. Forgetting for the moment about programming for individual injector control based on the feed back from individual O2 sensors. So simple. We should all do it. Absolutely dumbfounding custom work! (And expense no doubt!)

Now billet titanium rods. This guy has at least half a million in this thing, not counting the cost of high-end tools/machinery. A “different level” doesn’t even begin to describe what’s going on here.

14-1 isn´t insane, it´s normal to actually low racegas compression, look at prostock V8´s, they´ve got up against 16-1 with far worse combustion chambers than our engines got. (pentroof vs wedge)
The more impressing thing is to find space as there are need for valve releifs.
This actually gives you a poor combustion chamber design due to the piston isn´t smooth anymore which might cause problems with restgasses and poor flow in combustionchamber at tdc(overlap period)
