Performance Mod questions
G'day Gents,
I am sure this has been done to death on this forum. I have read some of the stickied threads, but I am chasing some feedback/Critique on some of my future mods.
To preface this, I have a 2011 C63, and so far I have a resonator delete, some K&N's and a V7 tune from EC.
After hearing some cars that have headers/a full exhaust system, I have been convinced to upgrade. I have seen a few headers threads, and i am aware of a few of the manufacturers in the game. My question is, who is the best bang for buck company out there? I don't mind paying a premium for something quality. But, is there a big difference between a set of $4.5K weistec headers, and some slighty more expensive renntech headers? I have also heard good things about iPE. I am thinking about getting any headers I buy ceramic coated. Is there any performance benefit on NA cars to doing this?
For the exhaust system, ideally I want something that is valved. Again, I have heard good things about the iPE system. I know someone who had a system from Fi installed on their car. I haven't been able to find many "reviews" on their stuff. How does it compare?
Lastly, in terms of induction, I saw a company that makes a black or carbon induction kit, with "6.3" emblazoned in red. I can't remember the name of the company. That system looked pretty dope. Otherwise the Renntech system is supposedly the "best" although it is pricey. Any other recommendations?

De fillipo have ceased production when I recently enquired after reading this.

X-force do make a economical header for the C63. Although cheap and chinese made, Cade at Racings Dynamics says he has these fitted to a supercharged C63/E63 (can't remember which) for around 4 years without issue.

IPE make a great product. I am running their headers on my car. Quality and fit was great.
Car picked up a good deal of power, and sounds awesome.

In what way do they sound terrible? They look very similar to ARH and other 4 > 1 long tube headers. DPE are known to be pretty good. I'm just trying to understand how they can sound that different to the others. Are you sure it wasn't other parts of the exhaust that contributed to the sound you're describing?
