I searched a good bit but found a wide range of ideas/ suggestions around this...
looking for the collective's opinion on optimal tire pressures f/r for both 1/4 runs and for standing Mile....
I'm running PS4's - 255 fronts / 325 rears......with the new LSD and a few more tweaks to the tune and adding in the Cf driveshaft it seems to really get off the line but still breaks traction thru 1st and into 2nd and on 2nd/3rd shifts..... i'm currently running 32 psi rear / 38 front..... set cold, but factor in 95+ houston temps.......
thoughts ?

I found the best pressures for 1/4 mile runs on street tires was 50psi F / 24psi R. Any lower in rear seemed to slow the car down top end, and that pressure offered the best compromise between traction and rolling resistance. Getting a lot of heat in the rear tires is the best thing you can do - big burnout dry, no water. Good luck.

Appreciate that - sounds about like what I'd thought for 1/4 runs...... thoughts on a full mile run pressures ? worried about the tire integrity at anything under 30 psi as I'm hoping to hit 185 or so..... ( last year we only ran 174 as top with a slippery track and less than optimal launch...)

Normal pressures for a mile. Traction off the line doesn’t make a big difference in terminal speed.

I dropped to 25lbs of pressure in my PS4's. did a decent burnout. nothing crazy, just enough to clean tires off and see a little smoke. I went from 1.9 to 1.8 60 foot times. Launched car in sport+ at 1500-2000 RPM's. forget RS mode. Sometimes its to difficult to get into.
