Retrofit transmission cooler from FL cars
I'm looking to retrofit the transmission cooler from the FL cars. This is the exact same cooler that also came on the BS, part nb: 2125000600
Does anyone know what else is required to accomplish that, lines, brackets, etc?
To start off, the FL cars seem to have a different mounting frame, 1975050241, but I'm not sure if that frame will bolt on to the existing assembly on the PFL car.
I'm also not sure about the lines.
Can anyone shed some light on this and what's required? Thanks.
Here is what I did for my C63 w204.
1. Got the weistec transmission pan
2. Used the auxillary ports on the pan and create an oil plumbing line till the front of the car (lots of mechanics here)
3. Installed a small derale cooler with a thermostat wired to a small pump
4. Created a kill switch so I can also manually activate and shut off.
Some OBD tools do tend to read the transmission temperature in case you are Keen
Tranny runs better
Hope this helps.
