Brake Kit Upgrade Question

Good Morning and Hello to everyone;

This is my first post here as a new member to MB World, back in June I picked up my first MB car, a 2015 507 edition C63 AMG. I have been loving the car and enjoying it every day! I drive my vehicles often, and hard; that being said after this last 2k mile rally, it appears I am due for a pad and rotor replacement. While I have been researching online, there seems to be a bit of confusion between vendors on what will fit on my car, versus what wont, different performance packages etc.

It is my understanding that my car is the W204 generation, P31 facelift. So shouldn't any brake kit that falls within the W204 generation, fit on my car? Do you guys have any suggestions on kits that you have used?

Thanks in advance!

Cody

Yes, your car will come factory with the “1.5” piece rotors which are a little lighter than the factory non performance one piece and heavier than the factory p30 2 piece. They all will fit though... only the bs won’t without modifications

Confusing with the 2015 w204 as they also produced a 2015 w205

yes it is a bit, coupe in 2015 was a w204, w205 coupe came in 2016, sedan 2014 was last year for w204, w205 sedan started in 2015 at least in the US, sometimes the model years are a bit different country to country also.

consider Racing Brake Rotors and pads if you're looking to increase gripping and reduce weight..... not cheap, but worth it IMHO......

If you’re not tracking your car, get the 1-piece replacement rotors from FCP with Porterfield RS4 pads.

I love my Racing Brake BBK as much as anything I’ve done to the car, but honestly there are better things to spend $5k on. If you’re not tracking the car it’s just a very expensive visual upgrade that nobody is going to care about but you.

Or get the Brembo true 2-piece rotors from FCPEuro for about $900 for the pair, and never worry about replacing them again with FCP's lifetime replacement warranty.

I just don’t get FCPs clear and transparent hassle free warranty on even worn out parts. Just doesn’t make sense at all. It’s amazing that they have pulled this off
