Vibration at partial throttle
Have been looking for a fair amount of time now and have found no definitive answer.
I picked up my C63 AMG PPP 2 months ago from a reputable dealer. It is still under warranty. 50k miles, mid 2011.
Im absolutely loving the car but have noticed that under partial throttle i get some vibration for a few seconds (the same feeling you get when you drive on the hard shoulder of the motorway) and the revs are inconsistent. Initially i thought it was the tyres but then i would notice it at other speeds.
It never has this issue when in neutral or being driven hard, but it is especially noticeable under partial throttle when going up a hill for example.
This is in comfort mode. It kinda feels like the gearbox is struggling at low revs and cant change. The power kinda stops while the vibration is happening and then it gets a gear and its all back to normal. It has happened a few times too when braking but nowhere near as often.
It doesnt really effect me but i seem to notice it a lot and im wondering what the issue is.
In summary:
Vibration and rev inconsistency at low RPM moderate throttle - hills especially
No issue at full throttle or neutral
Any ideas? Want to get this sorted under warranty.

When I was told it was my torque converter I kept questioning it. But I figured as long as the car is fixed, I don’t care what they called it
