List of C63 problems?
Noob here, trying to compile a list on what to look out for. I understand headbolts are preface lift with some early 11s.
From what I've read the below are problems for any year W204 C63
-Camshaft wear
-Lifter wear
-Cam shaft adjusters
Have there been any answers to these problems? People seem to go 5W40 for the Cams/Lifter wear, outside of that I don't know.
Anything else that should be looked into? Thanks

I was trying to see if the above has been fixed. The fuel injectors are also a problem, but replacing them looks pretty easy.
As for the aforementioned, I've found no solutions and it seems the only thing you can do is replace the Cam Adjuster, Shaft, and lifters, etc. Some users have had ticking even on newer models at low mileage.

cheap owners, only worried about going fast. they are turning into the 55k crowd.
cheap owners cant afford to maintain a $70k car
anything since some of these cars are going on 11yrs. you name it, it can happen.

Very quick to get knocked out of alignment.
The transmission can get flakey
Steering wheel does not come back on center after making a turn
The blue oil smoke "cloud of death" after restarts

I wouldn't necessarily call someone cheap for not pulling an engine to do 'maintenance'
In the meantime I'm still deciding if I should plunge into the AMG world. I don't care about paying $1200 for tires, $250/month for gas, and a few $800 repairs. I'll see if someone comes up with the above fixes, but I'm doubtful.
Thanks for the feedback

During the 5 years that I owned a 2010 C63, the only thing that I ever replaced was the PCV valve, brake pads and rear tires.

Tires - every car needs them, really about research and finding deals.
Gas - really depends on how you drive. Manual mode I get 12-14mpg. Comfort I get 20-22mpg.
Repair costs - up to you (dealer vs diy).
Just be smart and do your research.

G'Day Fella's,
JChi23, the only issue I'm aware of, is a slight oil weep/leak, from the rear of the Left engine valve cover (C63-V8).
I see on this forum, that others also have experienced a simiar oil leak.
Hope that helps.
D'oh!
