Trans slipping woes :-(

Hi guys, before I bring her into Mercedes to see what may be the issues, I'm wondering if there is any suggestions first. I've own her for a little over 1 thousand miles never really noticed much of any trans slipping issues until the V7 flash. At first it wasn't slipping as much as just very throttle sensitive which it seems to smooth out. But now its really slipping bad in all gears before it than slams into the gear after shifting. It does seem to get better when warmer but still not correct. When attempting to do full throttle runs, its flawless and snaps gear changes perfect at full throttle. A little back rounds on her, shes a 13 PPP with 48k miles, only mods are ROW box, E7 tune and secondary cat delete. On the service records the trans did have the service done per scheduled mileage maintenance (not sure what they do at that time, maybe flush or just trans oil change?). Anyway a little nervous if the clutches are worn and its going to need major work. Any suggestions are welcome.

Unlikely to be slipping. Get the shift adaptations redone.

The trans is most likely in good health. Reset the trans adaptation to fix the issue (scroll to post #2): https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...daptation.html

EDIT: BLKROKT beat me to it

Thanks. But the process described in that thread has been shown to have little if any effect at all except for resetting shift points in the auto trans modes.

I meant the full on adaptations where you drive in each gear with the MB computer plugged in. There’s a very specific process and it has to be done by someone with the right hardware/software, usually a dealer.

Just an FYI, I had/have this issue as well for a long time. I ended up emailing Jerry, and he adjusted something in the tune that made it about 75% better. Never knew quite what it was adn just assumed it was an adjustment to throttle mapping. Anyways, it worth a shot.

And I can confirm that the "Adaptation reset" method listed above does absolutely nothing, at least for the Facelift cars. Jerry told me to unhook the negative terminal of the battery overnight as well, but I'm not sure that that even helped either.

Very unlikely you have internal clutch issues. Flash it back to stock and I bet it magically gets better. Adaptations will self adjust on their own. Doing adaptations with the mb tool will just speed up where it will ultimately end up.
