New C63 Owner, couple of questions

Hi Everyone, I just picked up a '12 C63 with the P31 Pkg. The vehicle does have IPE headers and catless midpipes which has caused a CEL. Is there any tune that would eliminate the CEL? Also is there an online parts catalogue for our cars? I have a E90 BMW as well and I live by REALOEM. Thanks!

If it already has headers, didnt it come with a tune already? More than likely did. The tune "Should" eliminate the rear sensors IIRC

have you confirmed what the error code is for?

Any tune can turn off the CEL and like doncmleon said if it has headers, you would assume it has a header tune which would remove the CEL, have you pulled the codes to make sure the CEL is a catalyst code? Certainly any tuner can get rid of the CEL, maybe the previous owner removed the tune before selling for some reason? Not sure where you live, any tune that will remove the CEL will remove rediness for 2 things and you will most likely fail SMOG/Inspection in a lot of states, so some people try to run simulators or mini cats in front of the O2 sensors to get it through that and not have to remove the headers.

As for realoem, I live in there also as a BMW owner - keep using it, go to realoem.com and on the main page where it says click here to enter, below that it says click here for other brands and will take you to where you can select mercedes . https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/epc/mercedes/

You have to learn the lingo again for mercedes, go to car, then 204 then to model code 204.077 that will get you where you need - also if you really want some good repair info, WIS is what you need and you can get a WIS VM off ebay for like 10 bucks and it will give you dealer procedures and PDF's for repairs, very handy to have.

Unfortunately unlike BMW, there is no cheap way to get dealer diagnostics like INPA/EDIABAS/WINKFP/Esys, Star Diagnostics requires and expensive interface box and you are into it for 800 bucks or more.

Code is P0430, I'm going to try swapping the rear o2 sensors and hope the code switches to bank 1. Thanks Roadkillrob for the info!
