The short of it is, I had a 2" lift/King shock installed in my 2014 G63 AMG and after about 6 months the front left upper shock mount sheared off, basically broke off and it's part of the actual frame. It needs to be re-welded and in order to do that the motor needs to be pulled. What a mess. MB won't touch it so I'm in search of someone to weld it. Any suggestions. Also of note, the front left shock mount is different from the front right shock mount. The left side has a double shear (weaker design), the right side has a single shear. I've been told the left side will likely need to be altered to or reinforced to replicated the strength of the right side. I've attached photos
