Sls plugs review

swapped plugs and put back original ignition coils and the car runs smoothly. The oil and coolant Temps are definitely lower. I drove for 30 min back roads yesterday and the coolant stayed at 19 vand would hit 194 at times. After 40 minutes it finally hit 197 with 55 degrees ambient temps.

Now I'm not sure if this is a good thing because the chamber might not be burning all the fuel correctly but whatever I'm keeping them in for the nitrous setup.

Now on the ignition coils....let's just say I'm going outside now to put them back on. The car feels like a stock tune was added. Throttle response is about 40% less sharp. With the plasma coils your could feel the pedle with razor sharp input.

I will confirm after putting them back on if it gets better or I lost all of it from the colder plugs.

Man the car feels dull as **** without them.

ya...plasma coils for my Audi feels amazing. same as you've stated, throttle response and low to mid power has gains all around.

wished they didn't cost so much for the M156, but ended up spending that money towards HPTuners and new factory coils and plugs which was a better decision for me at the time. colder plugs will add some dullness to lower rpm ranges.

thanks for the info. keep us updated!

i had similar symptoms with sls plugs. I just gapped oem ones down slightly for spray. It doesn’t need much for a 75 shot

whats the deal with the sls plugs? colder? I've never compared them side by side. Most sls vehicles are sub 10k miles and dont need plugs either.

generally speaking, you should only update plugs to colder if you're seeing your gaps widen a lot faster than usual. like within weeks or less.

in stepping up to colder plugs, evaluation of the ground strap color transition point will determine if your plug is too cold.
