Bought wrong transmission fluid, maybe.. 236.14 vs 236.15
I´ve got an 2011 C63
In the optionlist it says 'low friction' which i just a couple of hours ago came aware of.
I drained my transmission and found a 'green' fluid.
Started to research and found that this is 236.15 fluid.
Now the small problem.
I have bought 20liters of 236.14 fluid as i thought at the point when i bought it, it was the correct fluid, as my Ml350 uses it, my bad
I also read that earlier 722.9 transmissions used .14 fluid, so i´m correct in my ML350
So my question is: is it possible to use .14 instead of .15?
Is it just a fluid to save fuel?
Or is it for lowering wear and tear?

It should be blue or red ... if it’s green I’m guessing it’s just discoloured a bit over time. They are not interchangeable as per mb. And they don’t recommend the lower friction fluid in the older transmissions for some reason. My guess if the clutch material was also changed and the older transmissions may slip or experience increased wear from the reduced friction of the newer fluid
