Started getting a terrible rattle from the center dash likely related to this cover in the photo. Slight pressure stops the rattle. I'm sure some felt tape will fix the problem but I was looking for advice from anyone who may have removed it before. Is it held in by a few clips and pops out with a trim tool?
Hi, did you ever fix this? I got the exact same issue where the rattle stops after placing my hand on it and drives me mad.
The panel/speaker cover makes contact with the windshield and makes the rattle. Use a trim tool to pop it out from the front and disconnect the cable harness. Put a 1/4 inch piece of felt along the top of the cover and the entire length towards the edge where the cover sits against the windshield. U won't see the felt when the cover is back on
