Fuel Injector problems. WHY??
My 2010 C63 a few months ago lost two Bosch injectors and since two went out, I replaced all eight of them. The car ran fine until last weekend when out of state (naturally!) I lost two more of the new ones! I thought I'd blown the engine as it would not start or even turn over, locked up solid ! I had it trucked 225 miles home to my favorite MB indie mechanic. He removed the spark plugs and went in with a borescope and found 1 cylinder full of gas, so it was hydrolocked! So he spun the engine with no plugs to clear all of them of any fuel, then drained the gas, replaced two spark plugs, two injectors and a full oil and filter change in case the oil had some fuel in it. So why is my engine eating injectors....too high a pressure.?? Does the Bosch #43834RB fuel pressure sensor need to be replaced and what exactly does it do in the system? Why else would they foul so quickly, we're lost here!! BTW the car now has 17,436 miles on it, go figure!!
Thanks any MB techs that has seen this problem in their past....
