W204 C63 Longtube headers and mid section $1200
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Install is fun. I went the route of not removing anything cause I broke multiple sockets trying to remove the subframe bash plate. ( Thinking those were last cranked on by dealer doing engine mounts..) Install can be done alone with some jack stands and every possible config of 11mm/ 7/16'' wrench and socket. I reused the stock metal gaskets that were still in good shape. Headers fit up well, I was a little worried due to the small amount of thread engagement with the manifold nuts onto the studs - but no leaks!! (Pro tip: Replace oil dipstick gasket while the headers were out. $3 part, few hundred dollar job from the dealer)
Mid pipe to resonator install isnt bad, helps to remove the cross brace. The longer mid pipe section on the driver side is very close to the transmission frame, no matter how I try to adjust it, it just needs something to hold it over. On hard right turns I can feel the contact in the cabin. I was going to take it to a local shop and have them weld on another muffler hangar to pull it away from the trans. That should be an easy fix.
I do need some advice on how to keep these clamps tight! Any tips??
So far, every outing with headers installed, and very spirted driving but thats a given in these cars, the clamps arent rattling loose but I can feel the movement. Has anyone else rigged up another way to hold these pipes up? Thinking more support would help as thats a long stretch from the headers to the hangars by the mufflers.
I'm addicted to hearing that wide open C63 roar tho! Thanks again Shardul!

has anyone had issues with these?
I see that the inlet may not be a perfect match but not that big of a deal to me
anyone buy a set they chose not to use?
