M156 cam adjuster noise??
Hi Guys,
A 2012 w204 c63 owner, I have this terrible noise on the driver side of the m156 that appears only after the engine is fully warmed up, I wonder if it's the cam adjuster.also I noticed the oil temp going high at arround 130 on sport mode while never passes 105 on comfort mode.the car has about 90k miles.
NB: I put the liqui moly lifter additive with a new oil and still the same noise there.
anyone would know what this about? thanks in advance.

sounds like it could be your cam adjuster but that is an odd noise. it may need replacement or rebuild. you or your mechanic can inspect by removing your valve covers and using a wrench attempt to turn the camshaft near the adjuster. if there is movement, the adjuster is in need of replacement or rebuild.
