No prep drag racing
Hey guys,
looking for advice..
ive recently added an ESS supercharger to my 2011. I race at my local 1/8 track every weekend. Stock with tune I was hooking up pretty well in PS4S’s but now I’m having all kinds of struggles. On the same tire I’ve lost .5 sec and running a 2.5 60ft 😆. I’ve also tried R888Rs for 1 night with similar results. Need help! How can I get at least some of the power down? And are the Toyos still too young? (I did six runs with 3 burnouts).
Im an experienced street level drag racer but this is a tough nut to crack.
ive seen lots of guys running low 7s 1/8 and even 6’s supercharged and am looking for advice...has anyone run no prep?

I had all the same problems 1/8 mile roll racing. consider:
-reducing tyre pressure
-adjusting suspension ,stiffen rear compression, loosen front rebound
-pedaling
-good DOT drag radial +heavy 2nd gear burnout on every pass (eg MT et street s/s)
my 2c

You need drag radials end of story. Street tires won't hook for **** at the track.

Also, wanted to mention. Get rear upper adjustable camber arms, and take some negative camber out. These cars run -2.5 degrees camber in the rear which is horrible for straight line torque monster. I have f1fabrication arms on my car and running -.5 degrees and my car hooks amazingly.
