As the title says, my 2010 c63 had an engine light about a month ago and then it went away after maybe 3 days?, after some research I figured the salt on the roads from Canadian winters but about 2 hours ago on my way home I looked down and there she was the beautiful engine light.
Of course I know I need to get a code reader or go in, but to plan for the worst what are the most common causes of the engine light on the 2010? Also note the car drives and sounds fine. Whats relatively the price for a diagnostic at MB in Canada?
Cheers all.

Get a code reader as it is impossible to guess, the 2 most common things off the top of my head, headbolt failure and intake manifold gasket failure would be my top 2 guesses but could be something much simpler, bad gas, 02 failing, bad MAF etc.

If in the case it is a deadbolt or manifold failure, how much can that put me back? Is it something I can repair myself? also what's your opinion on driving? she drives fineOriginally Posted by roadkillrob

Just get a code reader or have it looked at doing a what if with no vehicles failure symptoms is silly and a utter waste of time

If you have to ask, then no, you can’t repair yourself. Call it around a $5k repair for either. Originally Posted by bustdown

Impossible to tell what’s wrong without knowing the codes.

Go ahead and google the codes first, before you ask what those codes are.Originally Posted by bustdown
