Cerakote will help improve the longevity as it will protect the metal from high temperature oxidation. From a thermal management perspective, it's not going to do much. If you want a product that will insulate well, I recommend Swain Tech's Multi-Layer Ceramic Coating; White Lightning.

It is a true ceramic coating, not just some powder coat bake on nonsense.

Jet hot on mine. - Make sure you or the coating company tape off the areas where the slip fit sections are. Don't ask how I know.
