HELP! P0455 CODE (12’ C63 COUPE)
Greetings from Texas!
Check engine light came on for first time since buying the car, I took it up to my local shop and had them pull the code (P0455). Car has an aftermarket burble tune along with charcoal and resonantly delete. Not sure if the delete and tune has anything to do with it. After doing some research I see a lot of people experiencing the same issue with the P0455 code. I don’t believe it’s the gas cap because the seal seems to be fully intact and I always make sure it’s locked in tight. Hoping to figure this out and diy fix it before going to Mercedes and donating my kidney.

You might have a cracked PCV hose, they become brittle over time as these engine bays get terribly hot.

Just get a new gas cap or put some petroleum jelly on it to test the seal. It's the only part which is being touched on a constant base.
