Acceleration turns your 0 toe (rear) to toe out on an independent suspension car.
Most of the time it’s done on a corner exit and can result to oversteering sooner than needed.

OP.
If you don't want to end up like that guy below, make sure you have a little toe in at the rear. I would stay with the specs recommended by Mercedes when it come to toe.

I can understand that in forward motion and under acceleration there will be a small amount of deflection resulting in a "toe out" under load. So some minimal toe in is to be considered to compensate.

I still don't think we have to suffer having the inner 1-2" of tire wear 70% faster than the rest of the tire.
