P3699 Fuel Rail sensor has a mulfunction
Pulling of the freeway last night and coming up to a junction, i went to accelerate and felt the car was spitting had no throttle. So i pulled over, pluged the diagnostic machine and fault P3699 Fuel Rail sensor has a mulfunction popped up but no cel light. I had the reserve fuel light on but still had 45 miles range so i wasnt suspecting it was low on fuel
Cleared the fault drives fine with no power loss, but really want to solve the issue now before it happens again
Am i right to the to replace the fule pressure sensor on the fuel rail P/N A 156 153 00 28?

P3699 Is the manufacturer code for P0191.
search for P0191 in this forum and you'll find answers.
Memebrs reported replacing:
1- PCV & intake gaskets
2- fuel filter
3- fuel pump
4- fuel pump modules
5- fuel injectors
6- fuel rail sensor
Any of these could be the cause of the issue.
Good luck.

if you crack the fuel line from the rail and fuel doesn't spill out, you have a fuel pump or fuel controller failure.
