Hi all,
I've noticed this for a while now that the driver side exhaust pipe post primary cat at the second mandrel bend (around the transmission area) has a very tight clearance against the heat shield. Can anyone confirm this is normal or not? Note: I don't think the secondary cat delete mod had anything to do with this since I checked the entire underbody prior to getting the mod and it's always been tight around this area. Motor mounts are in great shape (according to butt dyno and years of experience driving a massage chair c300)

Doesn't look normal but someone who needs welding lessons seems to have modified the exhaust, it is adjustable from the manifolds, looks like it was adjust to high and then pipes welded in to delete the secondary cat maybe? If so you probably can loosen at the manifold and and at the resonator and adjust it somewhat and re-tighten.

How do you adjust it from the manifold/header area? just slightly loosen flange bolts re-position the pipes and not put too much stress on them? If so I'll try that.

Yes just loosen the 2 bolts a bit at the manifold, maybe soak them with pb blaster for a bit, they rust a bit but usually don't get really bad just something to soak them for a bit will help a lot, then also loosen the pipe at the other end, assuming the joint is still there at the resonator and. you can get a bit of movement out of it to help your clearance.
FYI drivers side is easy, passenger side is a bit harder to get to the bolts, lots of extensions and a universal helps on both sides to get on it and you need a torx socket for them.
