Chances of finding a new hood...

To make a long story short, the ceiling in my garage fell down in the middle of the night... sheetrock fell on top of the hood so I know have several large dents and a deep scratch down to the aluminum. The rest of the car was okay. I was able to polish out the rest minus a small gouge in the mirror and the trim piece along the roofline.

A quick search on ebay has only wrecked hoods. I'm trying to see if it would cost more to source a new Polar white facelift hood or have a body shop repaint the scratched area and pull the dents... What a way to wake up! My wife hates the car and says "it's loud and unsafe."

Not sure where you're located but I see a couple junkyards with brand new OEM hoods (one is in Sun Valley, CA, the other is in Fontana, CA). Looks like they're going for $925+ unpainted. Here's the part number for the C63 hood: A2048801257.

You'd be better off taking the hood to get fixed, although its up to you whether or not you want bondo on your car.

Thanks, I'm going to see what the local body shop can do. I think the dents can be pulled using the "paintless repair." Parts will need to be repainted for sure.

Have you tried www.car-part.com ?
It'll let you search junkyards nationwide. Body panels can be tough to find in perfect condition, but you can usually reach out to the junkyard directly for pictures.

Thanks. I think it's going to be cheaper to get mine fixed. I shouldn't need any bondo, just some big dents that will need to be pulled and a scratch that will need need to be re-painted.
