Mosquito in Tach

Hey everyone, believe it or not "bug in dash" and similar searches don't yield a ton of results, so I need to ask:

Is there an easy way to get a small dead bug out of the dash gauges? I have a small mosquito (his name is Randy Mossquito) dead in the tachometer. Is there a way to flex the cover and vacuum him or anything? Any suggestions appreciated that don't involve tearing apart the dash. Also, any tips to tearing apart the damn dash might end up being appreciated as well.

EDIT: Forgot to mention its a PFL W204. 2010.

I just did this a little bit ago to get rid of a bug as well. It's not too bad but it is not fun. You could always try and use a blower/vac to try and blow it away where you can't see it. Good luck and enjoy

How is your dash now? The C already pops and rattles when untouched. Did you do anything to tighten it up or dampen sounds? I can't imagine I'd get through that project without breaking half the plastic tabs off. And I'm sure most would fall somewhere that I'd never be able to reach where they'd spend the rest of their lives annoying me by rattling in some weird echo chamber until I sold the car.

Haha, I hear ya about the tabs. The only extra thing I did was clean up the dials/glass real well before putting it back together. The tabs for the dash are really strong so you don't have to worry about them breaking. It will make sounds and noises that you won't be comfortable with lol, but they won't break. They fit back together really well.

I didn't have mine aligned correctly the first time but it only took about a minute to unpop them all and readjust. I believe the car actually rattles less now since I took it apart and put it back together. Just take your time on the actual dial assembly. The dash pieces you can basically just bang on to get back into place.

can you say a little more about this? I have an annoying creak in the forward part of the dash near the windshield. Is this common in the w204?

The C63 loves to make noises, creaks, rattles...it's just part of the ownership lol. You can press on certain parts of the dash, by the center display/radio and other areas to help alleviate the noises for a bit. Once you pinpoint exactly where your noise is, then you can add foam/felt/ any dampener to help. A lot of the pieces already have some type of dampener/foam from the factory but of course those pieces will move and rub etc.
