Dropped a piece of plastic while putting on the valve covers..
Hey guys,
Was putting on my valve covers earlier and in the process managed to chip what sounded like a piece of plastic either on the cover or zip tie from the wiring harness (a lot of brittle pieces in this area)
Unfortunately wasn't able to spot where exactly it fell but sounded like it bounced a few times. I spent ~30 minutes looking around for a piece in the area that it broke (pic attached) but can't find anything so i'm hoping that it fell outside of the cylinder head.. What's the worse that can happen in this case assuming that's it not a metal piece? Really just trying to gauge how serious this **** is up right now.. any advice is appreciated

If you can make sure it isnīt lying somewhere around the camlobes and buckets it will probably just find it's way down in the pan.
And down there it will probably just get stuck in the screen in the pickup.
And probably never cause a issue.
