Plugs and wires?
My 09 c63 is coming up on 60k miles, wanted to change the plugs and wires (guessing these are a cop). What's the best option for these or should I just buy factory? Thanks for any help!

factory from dealer or a retailer like fcp euro.
you can purchase a plasma ignition upgrade as well for 2k but when you have a perfect tune you'll see little benefit but still benefit from these.

OP unless you’re throwing codes for them, there’s no reason to change your coil packs out. Totally unnecessary.
I like Brisk plugs. Think OEM were NGK (ILZKAR7A10).
Agree. I like my plasma coils, think they’re awesome.

I just changed my plugs. Coil packs were fine. I actually felt 60k was a little early to change them based on their condition when I took them out. It was nice to only change 1 plug per cylinder on this engine.

Delphi are OEM or just as good. I run Delphi replacements from FCP Euro.
as far as coils...you'd all be surprised...80% of our customers have coil packs that are going out regardless of mileage. same with injectors. the difference is, as power output goes up the ignition coils start to show degradation. they will run quite some time before causing big run issues, but in working with customers, we are able to see degradation since we have lots of data to compare against.

Are the Plasma coils you guys talking about a direct replacement bolt in part, or do you need to make brackets to fit them.
I have no issues with spark at the moment, but my car has 70000km on, so I'm sure at some point I may need to replace the coil packs. May as well do the upgrade.

Direct swap. They look almost identical to the OEM coils. Unplug old, plug in new. Smoother idle and top-end for sure and a tiny bit more torque on initial throttle input as far as I can tell. Like em.

I'm trying to find new ways to add power to my car.
Currently mine seems to be the quickest NA C63 on the 1/2 mile events here where i live. I have run 239km/h. But there a whole bunch of 63's that are getting closer to me. They are all running on 25% ethanol mixes with custom tunes for ethanol.
I am still on pump gas, but am thinking of getting my tuner to make a custom ethanol tune for race day, to see what power it makes.
I have IPE headers and mid-pipes and custom tune.
