Will a 2008 E63 motor run in my 2009 C63 AMG?

Are there any other parts I'll have to order? Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Did a leak down test and two of my cylinders are having issues. Figured a new/used engine is the better route to take instead of having them re-sleeved

are you sure it isn't a valve sealing issue? its pretty rare to damage the twin arc spray liner unless your tune was so bad it was causing hot spots from over fueling or excessive lean issues...even then it would take quite a bit of effort. i would recommend boroscoping the engine and inspect the cylinder and spray on liners.

I'm not 100% sure. When the car is running, after it heats up or if you rev it, oil spills out of the top end. My mechanic said it would be cheaper to get a new motor. But now that you mention the boroscoping, I'll see if I can find someone nearby who can do that. Unfortunately my current mechanic doesn't know what to look for. They mentioned something about the leak down test being at 45% on the front two cylinders

Hi, I went ahead and bought an engine for a 2007 CLS 63 AMG. To your knowledge, will this motor be compatible? And if so, is it the same other items I'll have to buy? The oil pan and brake booster box
