Intake Charcoal Filters

Hello recently purchased a 2010 C63 AMG hope this is the right place to poat this. Anyways been working on resolving some CELs that were on it. Four codes have stayed persistently though, P2187 P0171 P2189 P0174 all retaining to system running lean. Performance of the car seems unaffected, runs and idles just fine. Checked for vaccum leaks on intake tubes and in the future intake manifold gaskets but noticed after some looking into that people were often getting these codes after removing the secondary charcoal intake filters for performance reasons only to reinstall and have the CEL go away. However my car didnt come with these and cant seen to find them anywhere dealer/online. Does anyone know the part number for these or know where to purchase them, figure its a easy thing to try before getting into removing the Intake Manifold. Thanks!

You can only get the charcoal filters installed in new air box tops.

removal of charcoal filters will not cause this...it'll only uncover that there is another issue which is causing the lean issue.

start by replacing your PCV valve...they only last 30-50k on a supercharged setup, 50-80k on an NA setup. if that is new, then your throttle body mounting plate is leaking air.

Thank you guys for the quick replies. Been leaning towards doing just that so with what you guys said i think ill be pulling the manifold to replace gaskets and pcv as my next step!

Make sure your air boxes are secure on the Y-pipe. It's easy to misalign them when installing and ending up with a pinch where the clamp goes, which results in a post-MAF air leak and lean condition.

Will do on checking the Y-pipe as well, occasionally receiving a 3699 code (fuel rail pressure sensor has a malfunction) as well. Always a stored code and not current, not sure if this is in relation with the lean/pcv issue or a seperate issue altogether. Any input is appreciated though, thanks!

rail pressure fault is usually a fuel pump or injector issue.
