Anyone replace their fuel pumps yet?

Im looking to replace my fuel pumps on my 09 W204 C63 AMG. long story short and alot of diagnoses my pumps gave out on me.

i found oem used pumps on ebay but id rather just go with new ones that will be E85 compatible down the road i found (AEM 50-1200) fuel pumps just not too sure on the fitment. if anyone has replaced theirs with aftermarket pumps please let me know what you went with and if any modification has to be done to the housing/sending unit.

Any replies and info is much appreciated.

Just forget all about fitting an aftermarket pump. You’re not going to do what it takes to make it work correctly - “extensive modification” doesn’t even come close to describing what you need to do.

For OE pumps, do a search of the forum. It’s been discussed before, in fact there was a post just a day or two ago.

As i have seen there is no fuelpump on the left side, but there are two on the right side.
There is a regulator on the left side that sends excess fuel into a dohickey that uses ejectoreffect to draw fuel from left side into a hose which send it over to the right side, into the carriers for the fuelpumps.
And the system seems very alike the system in C55 AMG only that C55 uses one pump only.
I upgraded that in my old C55 to a Walbro 450 pump when i had supercharger on it.
There wasn´t any big job to modify this.
The most tricky deal was to get the pump out without destroying the holder.

Left side - no pump, just a regulator and fuellevel sending unit..

right side. two pumps

Thank you for the info, did you end up going with dual walbros or just a single conversion?

I had as i wrote a C55 AMG, there is only one fuelpump in those.
And a single walbro 450 was capable to feed the m113 with kleemann kit.
