Weird noise while cold start
Hi, I am hearing some noise from the engine while cold start. It is not too loud and I can’t hear a thing when hood is shut. I have done some research on potential reasons but the video people posted doesn’t sound like my case. I am just a little bit worried and hopefully it’s not something serious.
It doesn’t sound as serious as the video, my phone’s mic doesn’t work that well after it had a bath in the toilet during Christmas. Also apologize for the horrible video I was just trying to let the phone record the sound I was hearing.
What you guys think this might be?

the audio doesn't sounds so good, but it sort of sounds like a bad cam adjuster.

Also now I am pretty sure it’s camshaft adjuster, the noise get louder when cold start and won’t went away before the engine got hot. Also I think the lifter is not doing well too. Now I just hope this thing can last 1000 miles to take me back home.

Mike has 72k miles. Mine does the same thing on and off. You should be okay for a while. I bought the harder plates from 63 motorsports to swap out. Haven't done it yet but it will be the biggest job for me on this car. You should replace your pulleys as well if you haven't.
