Tuning W204 C63
I have had my 2010 C63 about a year now. It was a little neglected when I got it, but I have everything sorted out now. It remains bone stock currently. Having gotten all the bugs out, I am looking to get it tuned now. Obviously there are lots of options. I just wanted to get some input from those of you that have tuned your W204. What company/software did you use? Did you buy the handheld or send off your ECU? What did it cost (if you are willing to share that info)? Are you pleased with the results?
Thanks in advance. This Forum has been a wealth of great insights for me.

I went with the unpopular (and expensive) Renntech tune. It comes with a module that plugs into the ODB2 port. I like the idea of being able to turn it from stock to tuned at will. I ran the car stock for about a year before I went with the tune. Definitely noticed a difference. Many years later and around 25k miles, my camshafts and lifters still look good, so I'd say it's been fine on the engine.

If you want a little more aggressive tune I’m leaning towards the OE Tuning brand 995$ currently or the Stage 2 Eurocharged tune . Lots of options ! All very well known goodluck.

The search function is your friend in this instance man. Heaps of past threads regarding tuning. I will say this. Don't pick a tuner who promises the biggest number. Any idiot can make big numbers by adjusting correction factors on a dyno. Big numbers don't necessarily = a fast car. The goal is to have reliable power that maintains or improves the stock drivability characteristics of the vehicle.
Personally, i think a custom tuning solution is the best option. It's light years ahead of any off the shelf tune available. It's also a more holistic way of tuning your vehicle, taking into account your individual engine health, fuel quality, and atmospheric conditions. Off the shelf tunes don't offer this flexibility. Especially if you're outside North America.
I'd message Barry from Eightysixtuned and have a discussion and see if his services are right for you.

I ended up going with the Eurocharged tune and getting the MyGenius handheld. I am very pleased. The process was relatively simple and the customer service from Eurocharged Boston was excellent. The power gain is awesome and the throttle response is insane. I have a whole new car now.
