CEL code interpretations….


got a few codes
1- misfire on 5-6-7-8
2-sec air valve stuck open bank 1
3-MAF back one
car runs fine
how does the computer know what air valve is stuck if they both controlled by the same vacuum ?

I believe through the o2 sensors and the periodic testing function of the SAI pump. The pump runs for a few seconds during operating temperature and the feedback from the o2 sensors is used to diagnose if a valve is stuck.
