Wheel arch liner help

Hi all,

Is it possible to paint the front wheel arch liner?

I have ordered a new one from Mercedes, but each time it arrives it’s damaged. They have ordered it 8 times now! I escalated to Mercedes customer service but they don’t care.

Here are some pictures. I think after waiting 5 months of back and forth with Mercedes the only option is to paint it. Could a good body shop do it?

Many thanks

Are you serious. They all come like that. It’s a wheel liner, they are not manufactured to have a perfect finish because 99.99% of people don’t care. The one that came on your car originally was manufactured to the same level of finish. The side that faces the wheel gets super banged up so just forget about doing anything about it. The side that faces the engine bay is barely visible. What’s the problem exactly. Yeah I guess you could paint the exposed part (underside) if it really bothers you that much. Go buy some spray paint and have at it. It’s just going to get messed up anyway but whatever.

I think you missed the point or perhaps I didn’t make it. In the engine bay the top part is exposed so it needs to be right.

I’m with blkrokt it’s a wheel liner it’s the last place that will impress people because it’s bling’d up. more like why waste your time on a POS rubber that the dealer or anyone really doesn’t care about.

No I didn’t miss the point. You’re insane to think that part should be finished to perfection from the factory. They’re all like that, paint it if you don’t like it. Rattle can spray it. Yeah a body shop will do that for you at a high cost. After they’re done laughing about it.

I agree with others, the parts look perfectly normal. I wouldn't be surprised if the business stops allowing you to purchase the parts. If you don't want to spray/paint over it, you could always sand certain areas or the whole piece.
