Power steering triggering ESP ABS
Hey all, just double checking with something right now.
This just started after I cleared my service codes. The next morning I started the car and as soon as I hit 5mph Power steering stops and ESP, ABS not operable comes up.
I have already ordered power steering res. and fluid but my questions is, does my pump need replaced too? I'm thinking the filter is clogged and the pressure is kicking it into a safe mode turning power steering off but not even sure if this car has a feature like that.
The reason I ask is because I can start the car and idle just fine with power steering going end to end no issue but as soon as I hit 5 mph like I said it kicks off and dash lights up ESP ABS.
The other conundrum is when this happens my blower fan and vets seem to go weird and get stuck mid vent switch, so it blows some out front vents and some our defrost and some out floor but not much t all, seems it gets stuck blowing in dash.
So yeah, the more money I spend to fix **** the more **** seems to be breaking haha
Main direction I'm looking for is the link between steering and ABS ESP.
Or is it my accelerator pedal, I did have a code for it sending an implausible signal. But I reset it and haven't seen it again yet.

Well finally got to pull codes, looks intersting.
code B222500 Steering column module has a malfuntion
5001 Control unit N30 / 4 internal fault
7266 DTR distronic Consequential fault
This should be interesting. Any idea's where to go from here

I do not have access to xentry sadly, however after clearing the codes they haven't returned.
Doing some digging I was thinking in reverse, seems to be my ESP/ABS module that disables power steering. I'll probably try to pull my ESP module off and take a look and clean it. Other than that maybe just a freak coincidence when I used my reader to sort other things and do some resets.
Only other thing I did was the notorious turn the steering rack end to end to try and reset steering angle sensor. Guess I will see how long it stays code free and drives normal.
