Suspension compatibile? C63 to other C classes
Question, can shocks and springs , or shock alone, fit any C class 2wd?
i want to try put a very soft suspension set up on my C63 (personal reasons) for a few months. Can i buy a set from another c class, like a c300 or a c220, and fit them in the C63? Thanks for any input....
PS....need to use the C63 to commute for a cuple of months, and road very harsh and bumpy, so need a softer ride......

Shocks yes. Front springs will not carry the weight appropriately. I'd look at the different spring weights and pick something in the middle like for a c350. Rear springs should be just fine.

Ok i was thinking to change just the 4 springs to c300 springs, and leave the struts/shocks as they are. Would just changing to softer spring make a good difference in terms of softer ride? Or by not changing the strut itself it's gonna stay stiff same way? I know it's not optimal for driving performance, but I'm not looking into that now, i just want a soft ride for a cuple of month.........

shocks do the dampening. Springs hold up the weight of the car. If you under spring it - m156 weighs notably more than v6/4 cylinder engines the front end will sag and/or bounce horribly. Id start with shocks only first, unless you have a 08/09 p30 package car.

So should I just change both shocks and struts out of a c350? Would it be noticibly softer?

Change to a NON-P30 C63 suspension, not to a C350. Also, if you have 19" wheels, change to 18".

2014 C63 507 Coupe
Plus 1 on going to 18s. I love my winter set up for that reason. Much better on these lousy NE roads. I kept the stock widths but jumped up a click in aspect ratio. 40 fronts vs 35 and 35 rears vs 30. Be careful that the rims you chose clear the front brake calipers. My 18s came off an E550.
