i think it does exist and you'll likely discover it when you least expect it. i'm sure your white clk63 was a complete surprise when ya stumbled across it - incredible example, btw!

For sure. I know of one 6k mile one that is pristine. Seller wants 230k which is probably world record money. The problem is the same as the clk. I go for it and a super low mile pops up that I have to make a move on and then I have two lol.

What advice would y'all give me? Go get the 6k mile one?

That sounds tempting, but that $230k price tag is pretty steep, definitely a world record for a CBS, just a guess but that’s likely because the seller would rather keep it. The biggest question is does the market justifies that price? I’m not sure of that. My advice is patience usually pays off, so maybe hold out for a better deal. Unless money is no object.

better to have two then none. pop that $230k car and if a lower mileage / better example crops up then sell the 6k $230k car - that way you will always have one.

That depends on your age, health condition, etc.

No one lives forever, I surely didn't want to wait another 15yrs till an Euro Spec becomes eligible for show/display, so I've paid top dollars for the only one that's state-side legal.

Dom bought his for $187k over a year ago on BaT, but he's not trying to make a dime on you for asking $230k.

lets break it down - enclosed transport to AMMO ($3k+?), paint correction / full detail inside-out upper-to-under & PPF/ceramic coating work done at AMMO ($15k+?), enclosed transport from AMMO to his compound ($3k+?), mandatory delivery service/maintenance for parts & labor by MB ($2k+?), insurance/registration for '23~'24 ($2k+?), storage/caretaking on-site employee payroll ($1k+?), etc... and the math quick arise nearly $215k, with inflation of ~5% between this time period, and it's pretty much right there at his asking price.

If you really got to nickel-and-dime, throw that first CLK63BS w/ 8k miles up on BaT, and throw in some pocket change on top of that, for Dom's C63BS.

Complete the collection already! #YOLO.

Honestly, I see things like tax and registration, transport, detail, PFF, storage, and maintenance as sunk cost. And I think it’s unreasonable for a seller to expect recouping that amount back.

The fact is, Dom didn't list the car up for sale voluntarily, DonDraperdfw approached and wanted to take this gem from him; thus, for someone that had no intention to sell, I'd say the number that tossed out seems pretty fair for "an offer that can't be refused".

What does slick top mean? This does seem to have all the packages(Carbon package, Aero and maybe based on the Dunlops, the track package as well)

I don't think there is a way to bring this car to the US. Its less than 25 years old and C63 black series is not on the show and display list.

@DonDraperdfw Unlike the EU market, all C-Class coupe variants sold in NA come with a sunroof or panoramic sunroof, meaning none were available with a "slick top." I believe if MB wanted to offer that option in NA, they would have had to re-certify and crash test it all over again.

So sadly for almost all of us in NA, we do not get cars with slick top roof which weigh less and have lowers center of gravity...

i would so much prefer 'slick top' vs the jankity pano roofs the NA cars got.

Especially on a light color car it changes the look fairly dramatically as all US cars are full black roof with the pano roof, so that pick of the white car looks so different to me after always seeing black roof white cars.
