So I might of made a huge mistake. I looked at an 07 Cls550 Amg with 82k on the odo the other day. It was a beautiful car! Had all the service records, garage kept, 2 owners. So I bought it for 10k.
I picked it up this afternoon and by the time I got home, 25 miles, the cel was on. The guy mentioned it coming on after he got gas so I figured a simple gas cap oring or maybe o2 sensor. The car ran strong and smooth.
Anyway plug in the obdII reader and I'm showing codes P0025 & P0353 x2. Ignition and cam sensor. I tried to rest the codes but was unable to. Why would p0353 show up twice?
Besides the check engine light, there are a few minor issues. Very minor valve gasket leak, drivers seat won't adjust fully forward and the passenger rear door won't open from the outside.
How screwed am I? Financially speaking. I'm fairly confident I can fix most of the problems myself but all I've been reading about are horror stories regarding broken head bolts and worn camshafts.
Are the codes an indication of more serious issues?
I'd typically research but since I just got it, I only have 24 hrs to file a complaint and attempt to get a refund but I do expect some minor issues with a car this age.
Appreciate any input

Yes, I posted the wrong forum. Ment to post in the c216 but judging by how helpful everyone was with everything but, I don't see much need to seek further advice on a forum like this.
Didn't post here to be insulted or grammar lessons.

Just be sure not to post in the AMG forum. And take off the fake AMG trunk badge as well. It just makes you look silly. Thank you.
People being insulted by others correcting their grammar is one reason our education system is in the crapper. It's apparently more humane to let people be idiots rather than "offend" them via helpful corrections.
LOL "don't accidently post on the AMG forum if you don't have one" I didn't know this resulted in 3rd degree burns in every post... for a new member no less, this is hilarious. Guy probably created a whole new profile as that one is burned to the ground.

he's still getting email notifications every time there's a reply in this thread, like this one. *bing*.
I dont understand how its titled "New to me 07 63" and then in text "07 cls550 amg"
Yeah I had a guy that I used to work with, swore up and down that his wife drove an SLK 230 AMG because it had some sort of sport package with AMG rims on it. OK buddy...
