Hi,

So I see this c63 intake manifold pic. About a year ago I saw another pic but I don't remember the black "flaps" or whatever they are. I thought I saw an uninterrupted runner until the end. So now that I see these "flaps" i imagine at a certain RPM they open making the effective runner length shorter?

Until I saw this pic I imagined trimming some of the runner length at the end 1-3" to tune it for a higher rpm operation without being forced to go to the SLS intake manifold. Please correct me.

Yes the black flaps are normal and vary the intake length when they open and close.
