UPD pully bearing locked up on me recently. About 20K miles on them. Went back to OEM.

Thank you so much Hachiroku for your reply! After much effort and string pulling I was able to obtain a recommendation. It would appear that SFK 203sffst-hyb#1-h701 would be the best recommendation for my Weistec pulleys which use 7 of these size 40mmX12m,mX17mm bearings. The problem now is that these bearings appear to be unobtanium! I have not been able to source them anywhere: I would be most grateful for suggestions and leads on where to look for them.

Best,

In the five years I've owned mine, I've been through 3 belts and around two or three broken pulleys. I have used three different makes of belt also, dayco, conti and now on a gates.

I just think this a common issue with these engines and no matter what belt or pulleys you use it will still fail.
What I do now is to just change the belt every six months as its a 30 min job, I can tell when it's gonna need to be changed soon as I notice small pieces of rubber around the engine bay.

What I did also though is to get rid of the plastic thermostat connector for the overflow pipe to a brass one tapped into the thermostat housing as this is prone to breaking when the belt fails, I use febi pulleys also.
