Hi AMG people, the plastic trim on my C63 steering wheel is peeling off at the back and split, it's okay but looks kind of tacky. I was looking to replace it with the RW carbon fiber trim. It says on their website removal of the airbag is needed. How hard is this to do, has anyone installed this kit and is happy with the fitment and quality? I am also looking to get their CF lip but my only concern is making it up my race ramps without scraping or doing damage.

Remember to disconnect your battery if you install this trim or work on anything involving the SRS system. Look for a DIY and it shouldn't be too hard.
remove and disconnect airbag
remove 3 screws for mounting plate
remove 2 screws for trim
pull
swap over buttons and reinstall
