C63 W204
C63 gearbox replacement
Hey all

I've got a 2013 C63 that needs it's gearbox replaced, I've found a replacement gearbox from the same year but unsure if i swap the original conductor plate/TCU over to the new gearbox will it still need coded?

Any help will be appreciated

the TCU is what is tied to the car, so if you swap it over you will not need to code it, car will still see it as the old trans.

the TCU can be "virginized" and recoded to your vehicle if you do not want to swap. you'll have to find someone who is able to do so as this is not a dealer function.
